Born in London, I am based in Kensington where I have lived for the last 25 years. After a varied and colourful career, I qualified as a photographer 10 years ago. My life has always been driven by "all things artistic" and it seemed inevitable that I should find myself looking through the lens of a camera to capture the beauty that exists around us.
In 2005, after gaining City and Guilds in Photography and specialising in portraiture, I was thrilled to win "Plant Portrait of the Year" in the Royal Horticultural Society's international photographic competition. To my sheer delight I was presented with my award by the late, great photographer, Lord Lichfield.
Following on from this success I received commissions from the RHS for editorial work and images for their calendars and diaries. The Great British Card Company and Medici Society have also used my images for cards and stationary. My work can be found in "Gardens and Plants" image library and I have been fortunate to appear in a variety of magazines and catalogues.
In 2010 I successfully gained Associateship with the British Institute of Professional Photography. Since then I have won several Bronze awards for my Bird and Floral imagery.
At present I am working on personal projects including the development of a children's photographic bird book.
