Born in London, I am based in Kensington where I have lived for the last 33 years. After a varied and colourful career, I qualified as a photographer 16 years ago. My life has always been driven by "all things artistic" and it seemed inevitable that I should find myself looking through the lens of a camera to capture the beauty that exists around us.

In 2005, soon after gaining City and Guilds in Photography, I was thrilled to win "Plant Portrait of the Year" in the Royal Horticultural Society's international photographic competition. To my sheer delight I was presented with my award by the late, great photographer, Lord Lichfield.

Following on from this success I received commissions from the RHS for editorial work and images for their calendars and diaries. The Great British Card Company and Medici Society have also used my images for cards and stationary.  My work can be found in "Gardens and Plants" image library and I have been fortunate to appear in a variety of magazines and catalogues.

During 2006-2008 I was commissioned to display three exhibitions, one of which enabled me to develop my interest in Portrait Photography.

In 2010 I successfully gained Associateship with the British Institute of Professional Photography. I was fortunate to receive several awards from the BIPP.

Over the last ten years my interest has expanded into wildlife, particularly bird photography. Living in Kensington I am fortunate to have daily access to the vast open spaces of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park….. a magnet for a multitude of different bird species. This has created a passion for all things feathered to develop. My desire to photograph the birds in a unique way has led to awards in Bird Photographer of the Year 2017/19/21; British Wildlife Photography Awards 2017/18/19; shortlisted in International Wildlife Photographer of the year 2017/2019 and European Wildlife Photographer 2017.

Annually I produce a diary and calendar to portray the birds from the Royal Parks that I have photographed each year. It is with great honour and gratitude that I have had the opportunity to forward copies to Her Majesty The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Prince of Wales who is Royal Patron to the parks.

I am now working on a very exciting personal project to develop a series of children's photographic bird books. The future of our wildlife is in the hands of the young and establishing that interest early on is key.

Watch this space!!!
